The relationship between House and Cuddy is, to say the least, incredibly complicated and rife with tension. So many people have accused Cuddy of sleeping with House that even House has jokingly asked if there is anything to the rumor. Some of the audience was left unsure whether they really do have a past, and if their feelings are more than just flirty banter and sizzling hot sexual tension for several seasons. Dr. Cuddy prides herself at being the strong, independent woman in charge. She is reasonable, but sticks to her guns in situations in which her opinion is called into question (which is quite often with House on the staff). She does display a good deal of outward emotion, especially when put on the spot or confronted with something she is passionate about.
He also tells Cuddy he knew Gail was a sociopath by watching her open mail. He didn't tell Cuddy because he didn't know about the pharmacy theft and thought it could be leveraged at a later date. House hasn't shown up for clinic duty, so Cuddy fills in. She deals with a patient who wants a prescription for breast milk to treat his colon cancer. With no response, she is willing to admit defeat and go to the board to resign when the insurance company rep comes back with a new contract agreeing to the full increase.
It is also possible that Cuddy's motives for keeping House around are a mirror image of House's reasons for tormenting Cuddy. House gets some unhealthy satisfaction out of evading or defying Cuddy's rules, and Cuddy seems to get the same satisfaction out of successfully imposing those rules on House. Later, in The Tyrant, House came back to the hospital when he learned that the pain in his leg goes away when he works on a medical case. Cuddy allowed House to come back, but not to his old position right away since his medical license would take a few weeks to be reinstated. When House still manages to outperform them, Wilson feels regret and withdraws his support for the deal. At the end of her rope, Cuddy withdraws House's hospital privileges until he starts making up his clinic duty at the rate of 4 hours per week.
After House's entire team quits and he refuses to hire anyone else (or do any actual work), Cuddy challenges him to treat a patient within 24 hours. House thinks he's succeeded, but when the patient keeps getting worse, it takes him a few days to find out what's wrong. Cuddy scores a major coup for the hospital when she lands a major donor for the hospital, Edward Vogler, who pledges $100,000,000 on the condition he be made chairman of the Board of Directors. Cuddy is more than happy to oblige, but it soon turns out this will not be a picnic. Cuddy scrambles to save House and Vogler finally agrees to give him a chance - fire one of his fellows to save money.
He accuses her of spending too much time dealing with House and says he only took Chase on as a favor to her. She asks why, if he didn't want Chase in the first place, why he's worried about losing him. Edelstein has often spoken fondly of her experiences on the show and fellow cast and crew, especially her friendship and strong working relationship with Laurie. She also continued to land guest-star spots on such shows as ER, Frasier, Just Shoot Me! House replies, "I always want to kiss you," and the two share a quick kiss. Heartbroken and angry, she lashes out at House,but they embrace and kiss. Cuddy and Wilson insist House agree to a deal to keep his license and keep out of prison. When House refuses, his Vicodin is cut back, then cut off.
The episode follows a day in the life of Princeton Plainsboro's Dean of Medicine, Dr. Lisa Cuddy, and the inner workings of the hospital are seen through her eyes. Many of the scenes with House are particularly poignant as she seeks reassurance from a man who puts his job on the line "24 times a year". This parallels but does not mirror House's dedication to his puzzles and his patients over his own job security. House also admits that she's literally the only person who can keep the place going.

There's usually a food truck on-site most evenings, but you can also bring in food—on weekend afternoons our move is to walk over to Wax Paper right up the block for a post-pilsner sandwich. Paperback Brewing has very good beer, especially if you’re a hazy IPA connoisseur, but the biggest reason we love this Glendale brewery is its space. Located in an old 1940s-era airplane hangar, drinking at Paperback feels like you’re in line for Soarin’ Around The World at California Adventure, except the only ride here is sitting and relaxing for a few hours. Even during peak weekend hours, you’ll always be able to find an open table, and when you get hungry, you’ll find a food truck or two parked out front.

The restaurant, opened in 2012, is operated by Charlotte Aufdem-Brinke and Dan Aufdem-Brinke. Dan is the son of novelist Nora Roberts, who with her husband Bruce Wilder, operates Inn Boonsboro across the street. A co-owner of the restaurant said previously that the accusations are "frivolous" and "beyond preposterous." In making the announcement "with a mix of sadness and frustration," the restaurant at St. Paul and Main streets in Boonsboro said in the post it's facing unforeseen legal and financial challenges and must close June 3. They’ve got around 12 different beers on tap ranging from Belgian-style pilsners to a sour ale, but we tend to go for the Bigger Dreams, a hazy IPA with heavy notes of tangerine and grapefruit.
